Monday Blues & Nail-Art-A-Go-Go - Abstract

Hi, guys - I hope everyone's week is off to a great start! With this mani I am killing two birds with one stone and combining Monday Blues with today's Nail-Art-A-Go-Go challenge theme, which is abstract!

I started with a base of Cult Nails Tempest. Then, using Pure Ice Teal Appeal  I followed MrCandiipants' tutorial to create the abstract flowers. I used Sinful Colors Black on Black to dot the centers of the flowers.

This nail art is fun and pretty easy! I like how the blue flowers turned out, but I also really want try this with a variety of colors like in the tutorial

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful week!

Happy Valentine's Day - #NAILLINKUP

Hi, guys - I hope everyone is having a really nice day! I've always wanted to participate in the monthly Nail Art Ideas Linkup (N.A.I.L.) challenges, but somehow it's just never happened! So today, I am happy to share a mani for February's Valentines Day theme.

For this skittlette, I started with Scofflaw Nail Varnish Love Letter from Scofflaw on my index and pinky fingers. Love Letter from Scofflaw is a pretty, soft black polish with pink and red sparkles. Sadly, it is a Limited Edition that was only available during the latest restock, so hopefully you were able to snag one! On my thumb and middle finger I applied Spellbound Nails Cheeks Tinted Red - a stunning, vibrant red with a subtle holo shimmer.

My ring finger is OPI Pink-ing of You stamped with Mentality Scoundrel using an image from Messy Mansion plate MM31. I wasn't quite sure how well this look would come together, but I'm really happy with it!

Nail-Art-A-Go-Go - Inner Geek

Hi, guys - today's Nail-Art-A-Go-Go challenge theme is Inner Geek! I work as a Systems Administrator, so I pretty much feel like a geek most days.  :)

I started this mani with a base of Pahlish Electrostatic Ghost. Electrostatic Ghost is a super pretty greyish lavender with coppery gold microflakies - unfortunately, this polish was only available for a 24 hour period on Halloween of last year.

I stamped using Essie Penny Talk and the binary image from Bundle Monster plate BM-415. YAY nerd stuffs!!!  :)

GOT Polish Challenge - Green

Hi, guys! Today's Golden Oldie Thursday (GOT) Polish Challenge theme is green. I started with a base of Essie Armed and Ready.

Armed and Ready is an awesome "army" green, and though you can't tell so much in these photos, it has a nice little shimmer to it.

I stamped using Essie Good as Gold and an image from Pueen 33. To complete this look I applied some round gold studs purchased from Born Pretty Store.

Nail-Art-A-Go-Go - Jewel Tones

Hi, everyone! Missy over at Gnarly Gnails has put together a really cool nail art challenge for the month of February! There is a different theme for each day, but because I don't post that frequently I'm hoping to pop in for one or two of the themes each week.

Today is Day 2 of the challenge and the theme is Jewel Tones.

I started with a base of OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby. Then I followed this dry brush tutorial by Emily over at The Lacquerologist using Essie Wrapped in Rubies, Essie Trophy Wife, and China Glaze Rendezvous With You.

I really love the "grunginess" of this. Not only is this technique super fun, you basically can't mess it up!
