Monday Blues - Essie Go Overboard & OPI Muppets World Tour

Hi, everyone - Happy Monday! It's been a super long day for me, so this is going to be a super quick Monday Blues post!  :)

For this mani I started with a base of Essie Go Overboard - a deep teal blue. I love this shade - I think it's one of my favorite Essie polishes ever! For a little sparkle I added OPI Muppets World Tour. This is such an adorable glitter - I think it would look great over almost anything!

Monday Blues - Zoya Kristen Delicately Stamped

Hi, guys - Happy Monday! I hope everyone's week is off to a great start! For this week's Monday Blues I have a simple little stamping mani to share with you.

My base color is Zoya Kristen. I just picked this up during Zoya's buy 2 get a green polish free promotion and I absolutely love it! It's a soft, pale greyish blue - I can't get enough of shades like this.

I wanted to keep this look delicate, so I stamped with BK White Matt Dull Polish using an image from plate Lily Anna 10.

Mentality Hillary

Hi, guys - yay Friday! We don't have any big plans for the weekend, and sometimes that's just the way I like it! Today I just have a quick swatch to share with you - this is Mentality Nail Polish Hillary.

Hillary is "a super dense pink holographic glass fleck nail polish". It's part of Mentality's Luxe Textured Glass Holo collection and it is also super pink and super pretty!

Bonus kitty picture! Snowy likes to lay in the chair where I do my nails while I'm taking my pictures.  :)

You can check out Mentality polishes at their Big Cartel Store and on Facebook.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! - #NAILLINKUP

Hello and Happy Monday! This week's Nail Art Ideas Linkup (N.A.I.L.) Challenge theme is of course.....St. Patrick's Day!

For this look I started with Ninja Polish Shillelagh on my thumb, middle, and ring fingers - man oh man, am I obsessed with this green! It's the perfect St. Patrick's Day shade and that shimmer is soooo stunning! On my index and pinky I applied OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby and topped it with Spoiled Show Me The Money. I really love this combination of green glitters over gold.

Finally, I stamped with Essie Good As Gold using a clover image from the Bunny Nails HD-B holiday plate.

Here is how my nails looked on Saturday night while we were out and about enjoying the festivities downtown. Using white, green, and orange polishes I did a simple little Irish flag design on my index finger, and stamped the same image as above on my middle finger using A England Dragon.

We really had a fun weekend - I hope you all did, too! Thanks for reading and be sure to check out the other St. Patrick's Day manis, too!

Aqua Nails for #NAILLINKUP

Hi, guys and Happy Saturday! Tonight we are headed downtown to some of our favorite Irish hangouts for some St. Patrick's Day festivities - should be lots of fun!

Today I have my mani to show you for the second week's theme of the March Nail Art Ideas Linkup (N.A.I.L.) Challenge, which is aqua.

I started with OPI Can't Find My Czechbook - a pretty, dusty aqua. Then I applied Elevation Polish Aguja St. Exupery - a stunning holographic topper with shimmer and flakies! I was so excited to give this polish a try and I love it over this color - the holo effect is quite noticeable and the flakies really pop!

I went pretty simple with this mani, but I'm really looking forward to next week's theme so stay tuned! Be sure to check out the other challenge manis, too!

Monday Blues - Contrary Polish Bal Masque

Hello and Happy Monday - I hope everyone's week is off to a great start! For today's Monday Blues I have the fourth and final polish that I received in the March A Box, Indied subscription box.

Contrary Polish Bal Masque (or, Masquerade Ball) is a dusty, cornflower blue with a beautiful golden shimmer. It's super sheer, but I was quite happy with how it looked at three coats.

All in all I am really happy with this month's A Box, Indied from Llarowe - the Mardi Gras themed polishes are all really fun! If you're wondering about Pat O'Brien's The Hurricane Nail & Cuticle Balm from Glisten & Glow - well it's a winner, too - the scent alone is to die for!

Stamping for #NAILLINKUP

Hi, guys - I hope you all had an awesome weekend! Tonight I have a mani that I did for the March Nail Art Ideas Linkup (N.A.I.L.) Challenge. The first theme for this month is stamping!

I started with a base of Contrary Polish Bal Masque and stamped using Maybelline Bold Gold and plate PUEEN 62. This plate is part of the new PUEEN "Stamping Buffet" set of plates. I am in love with so many of the images in this set! I'm also a little bit bummed because my set came with two plate 53's and it was missing plate 50. I did e-mail customer service and they've assured me that they will send the missing plate, though.  :)

I love the celestial look that I ended up with! The bf has dubbed this mani "My Sun and Stars"...at least he didn't say it looks weird, lol!

Girly Bits Flash Your Tips & CrowsToes Bad Catholic

Hi, everyone - Happy Weekend! Today I have two more of the Mardi Gras themed polishes that I received in the March A Box, Indied subscription box.

Girly Bits Flash Your Tips is a super pretty shade of purple. I can't say that I'm a big fan of linear holos, but I found myself really liking this! It also contains the most beautiful green and gold sparkly bits, making this polish really special.

CrowsToes Bad Catholic is the perfect Mardi Gras glitter topper! It's filled with metallic green, gold, and purple glitters in a clear base.

Here's a picture directly under the OttLite to show off that holo a little bit better. How awesome are both of these polishes?!

Again, A Box, Indied is available from Llarowe as either a monthly subscription or as a one-month purchase. You can find both Girly Bits and CrowsToes there, too!

HARE polish Phat Tuesday

Hi, guys - I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

I recently ordered this month's A Box, Indied from Llarowe - I've never ordered any subscription-type box before because I kinda don't like the idea of not being able to pick and choose the polishes (or other products) I buy. However, the March A Box, Indied (or "Indie Box" as I keep calling it) contained all Mardi Gras themed polishes (as well as a Pat O'Brien's Hurricane scented cuticle balm!!!) soooo I bit the bullet. I must say I am NOT disappointed.  :)

The first polish I just had to wear is HARE polish Phat Tuesday. Phat Tuesday is a deep purple polish packed with green, gold, and holo glitters. This polish is so sparkly and so pretty - I think it's my favorite HARE polish yet!

A Box, Indied can be purchased from Llarowe and contains 5 exclusive nail polishes or polish-related items from a number of different indie polish makers. It is available either via a yearly subscription or for one month only.

You can check out HARE polish on Etsy and on Facebook.
